SwiftComply team at the European FOG Summit

SwiftComply was created in 2016 to help cities deal more efficiently with their fat, oil and grease programmes.

Our CEO Michael O’Dwyer developed Europe’s first FOG programme and witnessed first-hand how inefficient an outdated initiative could be. This inspired him to create a management tool that would streamline the entire compliance process for water companies and the food sector.

Today, over 450 cities across the world use SwiftComply to manage their FOG and backflow programmes, and we’ve helped utilities prevent millions of litres of FOG from entering the sewers.

Spreading the message

Once a year, SwiftComply hosts an event gathering the best minds of the water sector for discussions centred around FOG. Specialists examine the current status of the challenge and what the future might hold, with conversations focusing on proactive mitigation, technological solutions, research and the role FOG can play in circular initiatives, sustainability and zero waste goals.

Now in its third year and in the UK for the first time, the next European FOG Summit will be hosted in Brighton, on 14 October 2021, in partnership with Southern Water and British Water.
