Modular pontoon has proven to be the most cost effective and efficient solution to providing access in all types of tanks. One client requited access to replace inlet valves within a number of clarification tanks across multiple sites. Decommissioning and draining tanks wasn't a viable option due to the disruption to service and extremely high cost associated with scaffold installation. Modular Pontoon proved to be the most cost effective and efficient solution to this problem Our modular working platform was installed onto the water and fitted around the tank fixtures quickly and safely. The solution enabled contractors to undertake both the planned and some extra unplanned maintenance to the assets. Operatives were able to work unencumbered by harnesses with access and egress to the worksite from a secure ladder.

The installation and removal time for this type of working platform is approximately one day each and there is almost no disruption on site. Our pontoon is DWI Reg 31 approved and our installers are fully trained carrying all the relevant tickets. We have installed pontoon in approximately 100 tanks for this one water company and with a huge 58% cost saving in favour of pontoon versus scaffold they are continuing to maintain their assets with our support.
